As a synchronized swimmer on the U.S. Olympic team, I spend a lot of time in the water. And by a lot, I mean six to seven hours a day. Being in the water so much can be rough on my skin; the chlorine eats away at it and leaves it dry and irritated. I have even coined the term "pool face" for the way I look after a long day.
To keep my face looking healthy, I have to moisturize almost obsessively: after every practice and before bed. I have tried all kinds of face lotions and I finally found one I fell in love with: Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($16.99, Walgreens.com).
Now, let's be honest. Training that many hours a day doesn't leave me with a whole lot of free time for socializing, and the only thing I am rushing home to see after practice is my warm bed. But I do like to look like a normal human being when I leave the pool at night, and pool face isn't exactly attractive.
Once I discovered Aveeno's moisturizer, I immediately became obsessed. It comes in three shades to match different skin tones and has just enough color to even out the redness of my face. It's a great combination of moisturizer and foundation in one. And it also has an SPF of 30, so if I'm training or competing outdoors, it protects my face from the sun's rays.

There are other products similar to this one, but Aveeno's has been my favorite so far because it has a nice light feel to it and stays on for hours. I keep a bottle with me when I am on the go, whether I'm at a competition, at the mall, or even at a friend's house. And I am definitely using it in London!
